DatabaseA database can be considered an electronic filing system. A database is a collection of related information that is stored together to allow for more efficient retrieval. |
InternetThe Internet is a network of computer networks that spans the planet. Not to be confused with the World Wide Web. |

HardwareHardware is the physical devices that make up computer systems and networks. |
QueryQueries are filters used to extract useful, relevant information from a database. |

ServerA server is a computer designed to run continuously. This allows data retrieval to occur at any time. Servers are normally built using more heavy-duty parts than ordinary computers. |
User Interface (UI)A User Interface, also abbreviated UI, is the onscreen portion of a computer program that the user interacts with to control what the program does. |

World Wide WebThis is the "www" of an Internet address. Often referred to as simply the "Web", it consists of the rules for sending and receiving information over the Internet. This should not be confused with the Internet. |
Web siteA Web site is a collection of linked documents called Web pages usually on a related subject that is accessable over the Internet using the rules of the World Wide Web. |
